Branch Chain Amino Acids are comprised of three essential amino acids that are abundant in muscles. These include Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. These amino acids act as nitrogen carriers that combine simpler amino acids to form a complex whole muscle tissue.BCAA's stimulate insuline production which allows circulating blood sugar to be taken by the muscle cells and used as a source of energy.

When BCAA's  are released, they signal the body to stop protein synthesis in the muscles (especially during times of stress).  Supplementing with BCAA's may strongly impact this signal and allow protein synthesis to continue.
